Prof Clare Gerada (Medical Director, NHS Practitioner Health Programme)
As well as main stream general practice, Professor Gerada established and has led for 10 years the practitioner health service (www.php.nhs.uk), an award winning confidential service for doctors and dentists with mental illness and addiction problems.
Dr Peter Hockey (Professor of Clinical Education and Director of Western Sydney LHD Education Network, University of Sydney)
Peter Hockey is Professor of Clinical Education at the University of Sydney and Director of the Research & Education Network for the Western Sydney Local Health District. He was Postgraduate Dean for Health Education England (Wessex) from 2016 – April 2019 and a member of the Pearson Commission which reported on the Mental Health & Wellbeing of the NHS Workforce.
Dr Ira Madan (Reader in Occupational Health, King’s College London)
Dr Ira Madan is a consultant and reader in occupational medicine at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College London and lead Medical Advisor to the Houses of Parliament. Ira has a strong interest in intervention research and with her research team, is running several projects funded by the National Institute of Health Research.
Prof Karen Morrison (Associate Dean for Education & Student Experience, and Director of Education, Faculty of Medicine, University of Southampton)
Karen Morrison is Associate Dean for Education, and Director of Education, Professor of Neurology in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Southampton. She is also an Honorary Consultant Neurologist at University Hospital Southampton. She leads all of the BMBS Programmes within the Faculty of Medicine, and uses her background as a clinical neurologist and researcher in neurodegenerative disease to enthuse students about the benefits of a research embedded medical degree.
Dr Paul Sadler (Postgraduate Dean, HEE Wessex)
Paul is currently Interim Postgraduate Dean for HEE Wessex and a Consultant in Critical Care and Anaesthesia. From 2017-2018 he was Deputy Medical Director and prior to this Director of Education in Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust as well as being a long term Professional Support Unit Case Manager for doctors in training.

Prof Karen Walker-Bone (Director of Arthritis Research UK/MRC Centre for Musculoskeletal Health, University of Southampton)
Director of the National Centre of Excellence: The Arthritis Research UK/MRC Centre for Musculoskeletal Health and Work. This is a national collaboration led by the team in Southampton to find cost-effective ways to reduce the burden of musculoskeletal disorders on work. Formed in 2014 and now funded until 2024.
Dr Bernice Knight (National Medical Director’s Clinical Fellow, Health Education England)
Bernice practises Psychiatry of Intellectual Disability in North London. She pursues a special interest in workforce wellbeing, following her previous experiences as a mental health advisor at Behavioural Insights Team; National Medical Director’s clinical fellow in leadership and management at HEE; Parliamentary researcher in the House of Lords; and as an Academic clinical lecturer at University of Bristol.
